Captain Storm was the leader of the Losers, an elite military combat unit during World War II in the European theater of operations. His teammates included Gunner MacKay, Johnny Cloud, Sarge Clay and Pooch. Prior to this he was a PT Boat Commander in the U.S. Navy. Having lost his leg in a Japanese attack, he fought most of the war with a wooden replacement; losing his right eye, he was forced to wear a patch as well. Captain Storm was created by Robert Kanigher and Irv Novick, first appearing in Capt. Storm #1. (1964)
