Xu Tao was a merchant who sold souvenirs at the base of the sacred mountain, Mount Tai, until one day, by chance he stumbled upon the Celestial Bow of Yi. Upon picking up the bow, Xu Tao was transformed into The Celestial Archer. Afterwards he joined China's resident super-team, the Great Ten.
