Richard Sionis is a successful Gotham City businessman and the super-villain known as The Mask. He is an enthusiastic collector of ancient masks and the father of Roman Sionis, the crimelord who fights Batman as the Black Mask. As a mob boss, Richard Sionis was also the original founder of the False Face Society, a criminal organization operating in Gotham. Richard Sionis was created by Bruno Heller, first appearing in the Gotham episode The Mask.
