History

A centuries-old enchantress kept young and vibrant by an elixir vitae made from certain rare and exotic herbs, Circe had long ago learned the ancient secret of transforming men into animals. For hundreds of years Circe would lure unwary sailors to her island, taking great delight in their torment as she turned them into obedient beasts. Only the legendary hero Odysseus was able to resist her charms. Having been warned by an oracle that the daughter of Hippolyta would be her undoing, Circe repeatedly attempted to destroy Wonder Woman before the Amazon princess could destroy her. During their final encounter, Wonder Woman was indeed responsible for the destruction of Circe's precious herbs of immortality, so that the enchantress began aging normally. Thus, Circe became even more determined than ever to have her revenge on the Amazon Princess.

Abilities

Thinking herself above such mortal matters, Circe has little skill as a hand-to-hand combatant.
