Clarc Kent-son was a "foundling" adopted by Jon Kent-son and Marta after he was found in a capsule that fell from the sky. Raised by the founders of Metropolis, Clarc lived in the better treated upper-class society. At his toddler age Marta Kent-son was killed by mad scientist Lutor and Clarc and his adopted father were hypnotized by the madman into forgetting what had happened, ensnaring Jon's will and making Clarc forgetting his star-born powers he was bestowed while turning him into a social drone.
At his adult age, Clarc fell in love with lower-class citizen Lois and becoming aware of the social inequality. He joined the workers to experience their daily lives, then begged his father to improve their lot, but in vain as Kent was still under Lutor's control. Clarc eventually discovered his origins and of his adopted mother's death. Inspired by Lois' words of a savior who would help the people, Clarc dressed in the investment that came with his capsule and become the Super-Man. At the same time, Lutor orchestrated in crushing Lois' workers' revolution by having her kidnapped and replaced with a robotic duplicate of her named Futura that will lead the workers to their doom. Superman intervened, fighting and defeating Futura by throwing her into a tank of molten metal. Clarc later came too late to save his dying father from Lutor and coming into conflict with the said villain in saving Lois. After a fierce battle, Clarc destroyed Lutor. Clarc and Lois become the new, enlightened rulers of a reunited Metropolis.
