Colorado is a U.S. state located in the Rocky Mountain region of the United States of America. Colorado may also be considered to be a part of the Western and Southwestern regions of the United States.
In 1894, in the town of Indian Creek, Hugo Danner was born. The metahuman Danner fathered an out-of-wedlock son with high school sweetheart Anna Blake Munro in 1924. This son, Arnold "Iron" Munro would leave Indian Creek in 1942 to help found the Young All-Stars, a youthful offshoot of the All-Star Squadron. In the town of Middleton, the city's law enforcement consisted of Captain Harding and detectives Diane Meade and John Jones. When the Martian known as J'onn J'onzz came to Earth, he secretly observed Detective Jones and when Jones was murdered by mobsters, he decided to use his shape-shifting abilities to take his place.
A short distance outside of Middleton (near Denver) lived scientist Doctor Saul Erdel. It was Erdel's telescopic energy beam that first brought J'onn J'onzz to Earth in the first place.
Colorado is also the location of the North American Aerospace Defense Command, headquartered inside of Cheyenne Mountain. Several years ago, young daredevil Cody Driscoll, proved his bravery by successfully breaking into NORAD. NORAD is also the secret instillation which housed the mainframe for the Brother Eye satellite (after it had been appropriated from Bruce Wayne by Maxwell Lord). The time-displaced super-heroes known as the Karate Kid and Una enlisted the aid of retired defense contractor Buddy Blank to bring them to NORAD in the hopes that Brother Eye might help them cure the illness that was slowly killing the Karate Kid.
Criminal scientist Professor Ivo maintains a secret laboratory in the state of Colorado. It was here that Professor Ivo conspired with Doctor Impossible and Solomon Grundy to use the android body of the Red Tornado as a repository for his own allegedly immortal essence.
