Buddy Baker and Adam Strange both find it hard to adjust to being home after having been in space for a year, though Kori finds happiness in her new role as the Bakers' nanny. Meanwhile, a disease begins to spread on Earth and Rann, one whose symptoms seem strangely familiar.
