The criminal known as the Top steals an aging serum from Centralia University. He plans to use it on the flash to age him prematurely and force him into retirement. He enlists the help of a guide at the Flash museum by the name of Dexter Myles and the expected attack soon arrives. The Top detonates an aging grenade and the Flash transforms into a spindly old man with a beard. The Top easily overwhelms the aged Flash and leaves him unconscious on the floor. The Flash eventually gets up and reveals that his aged appearance is merely a disguise complete with a fake beard. He dashes over to Dexters apartment and asks for his assistance with another disguise. In the days that follow the Top embarks on a new crime spree confidant that the Flash will trouble him no more. He is then surprised when the aged Flash arrives on the scene once again and begins to battle the Top. The Top immobilizes the Flash with vibrations from one of his top gadgets. This time the effects on the Flash are different. He begins to transform into a kind of futuristic sleek Flash that easily apprehends the tricky criminal. The Flash escort the Top to police headquarters and heads to the Flash museum to brief Dexter Myles on what happened. The following week, Barry Allen finds that Myles has created a new display at the museum which features the futuristic Flash disguise which was used to apprehend the Top.

Synopsis for "The Midnight Peril"

This story is reprinted from The Flash #118.

Wally West and his buddy Pete Willard are going through an initiation to join the Eta Pi fraternity at Blue Valley High School. The test involves them spending the entire night in a haunted house. When they are scared off by apparent ghosts, Wally returns as Kid Flash and learns that the ghosts were really two crooks hiding out in the abandoned house. Kid Flash then defeats them and turns them over to the Blue Valley Police Department.

Looking for Pete, Kid Flash finds him with his leg caught in a trap with rocks from a landslide about to tumble on him. Kid Flash saves Pete by deflecting the rocks from hitting him. He vibrates a rock at super speeds to chisel Pete's leg free to return him to the house. He changes back into Wally West as the two return to the haunted house and remain there for the rest of the night. The next day they are initiated into the ranks of the Eta Pi fraternity.
