Synopsis for "Fragments, Part Two: Family Ties"

Grant Emerson decides to visit his uncle, Neal Emerson, in Slabside Penitentiary to find out if he knows more about his lineage. Neal is kept in a metal-free environment to prevent him from using his powers as Doctor Polaris. Neal reveals that his father used to beat him and his brother, but that he doesn't know any more about Grant's true parentage. Having coerced ants into destorying the technology keeping him imprisoned, Doctor Polaris escapes, despite Damage's best efforts to contain him.

Meanwhile, Mandra Darrow still harbors feelings for Grant. While unloading stuff from her cousin's car, she is approached from behind by Splatter.
