History
Danny Cassidy was an actor and stuntman, famous for portraying a demon in a series of horror movies. One day, an accident on set left Danny trapped and on death's door. Confronted by a demon, Danny was offered survival at the cost of his mortal soul. Disoriented and not thinking clearly, Danny accepted the deal and was mystically merged with the costume he was wearing for the movie. Trapped in his costume, Danny tried to make the best of a bad situation by using the advanced technology in his costume to become a superhero. At some point in his career, Danny fell in battle, but was resurrected, this time as an actual demon! After the Justice League's expansion, Danny was invited to become a member, which he accepted.
Despite his heroic career, Danny grew jaded and angry at how so many people feared and hated him for his monstrous appearance. Eventually, he sought out the advice of Dr. Fate, hoping the master sorcerer could find a way to restore his human form.
