HistoryEdit

Much like the younger Blue Beetle, Jaime Reyes, the youthful Daniel Garrett bonded with the Blue Beetle Scarab. Daniel was forcefully drafted by Monarch to his Arena battles in his search for a strike team in his war against the Monitors. In Monarch's satellite prison, Daniel was unease with his counterpart, The Scarab, who is plotting with his sentient Beetle Scarab for something terrible. This conspiracy was revealed: when the Blue Beetles are sent to the Arena, Daniel's Scarab abandoned him and joined the Scarab as it's "hive mate" leaving Daniel strip of his powers and armor, allowing the Scarab to kill him by devouring him and stripping him to a skeleton.
