The Darkstars are an intergalactic police organization created by the Controllers to protect the universe. Beginning with their first agent Druu, the idea evolved from their earlier peace-keeping organization NEMO. Their leading representative is Ferrin Colos. They filled the void left when the Green Lantern Corps were destroyed during Emerald Twilight, although they eventually lost strength and were disbanded. The Darkstars were created by Michael Jan Friedman and Mike Collins, first appearing in Darkstars #1. (1992) |
