David Baron (b. July 8, 1979) is a comic book artist.

Professional History

Baron began his career at the age of 15, working for the coloring house InColor. He was subsequently hired by Wildstorm FX. After several years there, he left to pursue a freelance career. His work has primarily appeared in books published by WildStorm and DC Comics. Notably, he was the primary colorist on The Authority during the Mark Millar and Frank Quitely era, spent several years coloring JLA, several issues of DC Comics's weekly series, 52. David's current DC projects include Green Arrow and Black Canary, Detective Comics JSA All-Stars and Batman Confidential.

David Baron was under contract with DC Comics until July 2011.

Personal History

David lives in Temecula, CA with his wife and young son. He enjoys sports of all kinds and coaches High School Soccer and Volleyball where his wife teaches. David is great friends with John Layman, meeting John at WildStorm Productions when John was an Editor and he was a colorist at WSFX.

  • David named his company I.L.L. Productions after John Layman. I.L.L. stands for I LOVE LAYMAN.
