This section of the history takes place during Flashpoint, a massive crossover event set in an alternate timeline to the mainstream DCU. History was completely changed when Professor Zoom finally found a way to erase his nemesis the Flash without harming his own legacy.
Deathstroke's Pirate Crew came into existence after history was rewritten by the Flash in Flashpoint and a radically different version of the DC Universe was created.
Deathstroke recruited a band of super-criminal who have banded together to sail the seven seas aboard their ship the Ravager to plunder and loot of this divided world.
Deathstroke's Pirate Crew consists of criminal such as Briggs and the Icicle at first. The Ravager runs into the Skartaris, one of the Warlord's ships, and confronts him, believing he has Rose Wilson, Deathstroke's daughter, aboard in stasis.
After the meeting, they find out he doesn't have her and sail towards a Metahuman prison in Norway, where Deathstroke frees several metahumans and recruits them, including Machiste, the Fisherman, Sonar, the Eel, the Scavenger, and Clayface. Sonar is used as living sonar for the Ravager, as he emits a sonic pulse when shocked by the Eel.
The ship then sails too closer to flooded France, and come under attack from the Atlanteans led by Emperor Aquaman and his brother, the Ocean Master. The Ravager is sunk, but Deathstroke survives the battle.
