Trivia
- This issue may be the first DC Comics appearance of Professor James Moriarty. Moriarty is the creation of English writer Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and is popularly known as the foil for Doyle's detective hero, Sherlock Holmes. Despite the renowned association between Moriarty and Holmes, the villain only made one appearance in the original Sherlock Holmes stories.
- First appearance of the Batboat (dubbed the H.M.S. Batboat in this issue).
- Huey, Dewey and Looie from The Crook Who Couldn't Be Jailed are named for Huey, the three aquatic nepheww of the Walt Disney character, Donald Duck.
