Detective Comics (Volume 1) with a cover date of November, 1950.
Synopsis for "The Strange Costumes of Batman!"
While making an inspection of equipment in the Batcave, Bruce and Dick also inspect the various Batsuits stored in the costume room. The Dynamic Duo are later called into action and Batman uses some of his most useful Batsuits to stop the criminals. However, when he is seriously injured, Robin has to use a Batsuit that has never before being used. This costume allows Robin to disguise and pose as Batman, which proves useful in this particular situation as the criminals become overconfident after Batman's injury and are easily captured by Robin wearing the batsuit.

Trivia
- Several references to past stories are present in the Batman story, as flashbacks to the various Batsuits previously used. The stories are taken from the following comics:
- Batman #31 - Glider Batsuit ("Punch and Judy")
- Batman #41 - Interplanetary Batsuit ("Interplanetary Policeman!")
- Batman #45 - Plastic Batsuit ("A Parole For Christmas!")
- Star-Spangled Comics #95 - Golden Batsuit
- World's Finest #7 - White Batsuit
The "Luminous Batsuit" in the cover is said to be used against Professor Radium, which happens in Batman #8. However, this story doesn't feature any special batsuit. The same suit is later referenced as being used to scare a criminal into submission, which is a story that never happened.
