Trivia

  • Batman mentions that the four traps faced in "The Doors That Hid Disaster" are reminiscent of other villain plots he and Robin face, being that of The Bowler, a bowling themed villain who trapped them in a giant bowling alley, the Harbor Pirate, who attempted to drown them, Wheelo, the criminal cycle rider, and Robot Master, who devised a flying bat mechanism to attack them. None of these villains actually appeared in a previous Batman story, although the Bowler is eventually shown (in a flashback) in Detective Comics #725.
