A man called Henry Lewis finds a secret cavern right beneath the U.S. Gold Depository vault of Fort Stox and he hurries back to Kentucky to tell his peers about it. However, his conversation is overheard by some thugs who want to know the location of the cave and when Henry refuses to tell them, they decide to act against Henry's daughter, who is a singer in Gotham City.

Bruce Wayne got stood up by Linda Lewis one night, when she failed to meet him for an appointment, Bruce knew something was wrong. Linda had been tricked into thinking she had killed a man, and she was forced to return to Kentucky with her father. Learning of this deception, Bruce decides to intervene as Batman, with help from Robin. Together they find the people behind the setup and track the criminals all the way to Kentucky, via Batmobile. Upon arriving, Batman and Robin free the Lewises from the criminals and then, guided by Henry, they go to the secret cavern, where the leader of the gang and a couple of men are looting Fort Stox.
