Synopsis for "Purity, Part 2 of 3"

People in Gotham City are dying because of a strange substance in the heroin they consume and Batman decides to go to the Lucky Hands Triad base of operations to investigate the case. However, upon arriving he is distracted by Ekin Tzu, whose transformation has become more severe and is now more monster than human. Tzu offers Batman help against "the sinners" but Batman refuses any sort of help from him. At that moment, one of the guards of the place notices their presence and shoots Tzu, which causes him to leave, angry at Batman for not allowing him to help.

Batman sneaks inside the place and takes down all the armed men, leaving only the leader, Liu standing; and by doing this, Batman has rescued David Said, who was hostage of The Lucky Hand. Batman questions Liu about the poisoned heroin but she replies that she doesn't know anything about that and she also explains that they always test the product before selling it. Batman finds truth in the woman's words and while they are talking, Said sneaks out of the place without anyone noticing. Batman allows the Triad to continue operating until he finds the responsible for poisoning the drug, but he warns them that they are next.

Later, Detective Allen and Detective Montoya go to Wayne Manor to question Alfred Pennyworth about the whereabouts of Bruce Wayne. Alfred tells them the known part of the story and he claims that he doesn't know about Bruce's plans, but they aren't satisfied with his answers and they keep asking him questions that Alfred won't answer. After a round of unsuccessful efforts to make Alfred confess, the detectives give up and Alfred keeps working.

Later on, David Said speaks to someone whose identity is undisclosed at the time about the latest situation with Batman and Liu. When he is done reporting the events, he starts following one of the Lucky Hand members to the penthouse of a very tall building. Said waits outside the entrance door but he starts listening people screaming from inside and he decides to enter by breaking the door. Upon entering, he sees Ekin Tzu in his monstrous form, attacking the man he was following and a bunch of dead bodies on the floor. Tzu believes that Said is also part of the Lucky Hand and he attacks the man. They struggle for a while and when Tzu is ready to deliver the final blow, Batman comes crashing down and attacks Tzu. Batman tries to make him understand that what he is doing is wrong, but Tzu is driven by a hatred towards any poisonous substance, like the one that transformed him into a monster. David Said recovers his strength and he aims his weapon towards Tzu, but Batman prevents him from shooting Tzu, allowing the winged monster to fly away with the last member of the Lucky Hand. Batman and Said are left behind and they confront each other, looking for answers, but Said feels superior as he points his gun towards Batman's head while he says the word "Checkmate".

Synopsis for "Josie Mac: Lost Voices, Part Seven"

Josie gets back to the GCPD Headquarters after her last mission in which she murdered a thug in his mother's presence and she feels a bit of the pain of the mother. To keep her head clear, Josie decides to keep working on the case of the missing Antonelli kid but instead she is distracted by people who want to report silly cases and there is also the fact that her father hasn't called her in a while now.

After her night shift ends, Josie decides to keep working on the Antonelli case and she goes to that Family's place, only to find that she has been removed from that case by her liutenant. Josie goes back to the GCPD and after being lectured by her liutenant, she keeps working in some paper work. In the meantime, she called her father and a friend to try and make some plans for that night, but her friend is busy and his father doesn't answer her calls.

Josie goes back home to watch some TV and eat pizza. The phone of her home rings and she answers it, eager to hear her father's voice. However, the man on the other side is Detective Connor, who tells her that they need her to solve a weird case. Josie joins Connor's team and he explains her that someone was called in and asked directly for her to do something. They want Josie to walk to the pier, where there is a metal drum for her to open. They warned the police that if anybody that isn't Josie goes near the metal drum, they would shoot that person. Josie feels ackward and wonders what could be inside it. The detectives think that it might be the Antonelli kid and others think that it is a bomb.

Whatever is inside, Josie walks straight towards it with and when she opens the lid, her blood freezes and she stares in shock at the thing that's inside. She then steps away from it and after a while, she walks slowly towards her partners. They ask her if it was the kid or a bomb, but Josie replies that it was her father inside the drum. The sun sets as the police rushes to the place to investigate, but somehow, Josie feels like living her own twilight.
