Quote1 You know, I've been thinking, why do villains flock here... like birds? So many. Clustered. Why didn't a second-rate villain like Magpie move to somewhere like... like... apache junction? She'd rule in Arizona. Hell, even England. They got like, what... two heroes in the whole damn country? Imagine what Crazy Quilt could pull off there. But no. They cling to Gotham and tell the same story over and over. Always ending with them in jail or Arkham. Quote2

Synopsis for "Face the ɘɔɒᖷ, Part 3 of 8"

While reviewing Harvey Bullock's photos, Batman realizes that whomever killed KGBeast and Magpie used the same weapon: a double-barreled pistol originally manufactured by Two Face. Later, Harvey Dent watches Batman and Robin fight The Mad Hatter, and realize that their motions are perfectly in sync, as Batman's once was with Dick Grayson. He wonders if Gotham City still has a place for him, and the reflection of Two Face insists that it does, to which Harvey replies "No." Elsewhere in Gotham, The Ventriloquist is gunned down by the mysterious assailant, who damages Scarface.

Trivia

  • In later issues, future villain Peyton Riley's presence was actually retconned into this issue. Prior to Arnold Wesker's murder, she is shot nearly to death in an adjacent room. After Batman, Robin and Commissioner Gordon investigate Wesker's body, she comes into the room and steals Scarface when he begins to "talk to her." This is considered the moment she went insane.[1]
  • Batman mentions that Bard is among very few detectives he admires, and neither Ralph Dibny nor Roy Raymond were available. Dibny is later revealed to have been killed by Neron during 52.[2] Raymond later leaves his TV career when Batman invites him to join the Outsiders as Owlman.[3]
