Synopsis for "Night of the Penguin"

The Penguin returns to Gotham as a legitimate businessman. He can make more money running the Iceberg Lounge as a legitimate nightclub and selling overpriced merchandise to tourists. He invites a doubtful Batman to opening night, not knowing he is already attending as Bruce Wayne.

A small-time crook called Mister ZZZ wins big at the casino, which alarms the Penguin since he poured all his money into opening night. Bruce realizes Mister ZZZ has a transmitter implanted in his brain, which is relaying orders from his partner Little Italy. Little Italy abducted the professional magician (and card counter) Art Weiner and is forcing him to work for them.

Mister ZZZ returns to their hideout. Batman has followed him, however, and he defeats them while Weiner frees himself. He recovers the money and allows the criminals to escape town.

Batman tells the Penguin he was investigating the Weiner kidnapping when he came across Little Italy and Mister ZZZ's plan to ruin him. He warns him to stick to selling overpriced drinks and shoddy t-shirts from now on.
