Doctor Trap is a super-villain who specializes in contraptions. He swore vengeance on superheroes after his girlfriend died in the crossfire of a Justice Experience battle. Trapp had his mouth surgically replaced with metal clamps. Doctor Trap proceeded to kill the majority of the team, with Bronze Wraith, later called Martian Manhunter, being the only survivor. The death of their leader, Acro-Bat, led to his daughter, Cameron Chase, getting involved with government metahuman affairs.
Doctor Trap was created by Dan Curtis Johnson and J.H. Williams III, first appearing in Chase #3 (1998).
