Synopsis for The Dragon: "Vengeance For a Doctor"

Red McGraw aka “the Dragon” and his troop of stubborn Chinese guerrillas have been ridding the Honan Valley of plundering Japanese invaders, but they can’t be everywhere at once. One squad of Japanese infantry invades the home of an American doctor, who has been treating wounded Chinese fighters. They stab him dead with a samurai sword, and kidnap his attractive daughter, but not before she releases a homing pigeon with a message. The message finds its way to the Dragon, who now knows where to find these enemies. McGraw’s 2nd-in-command Chang, and two other guerrillas, drive a captured, repainted, Japanese tank through the hills, in pursuit of the kidnap platoon, with Red and the rest of his troop following on foot. Local Chinese people use semaphore flags to update the tank crew about the escaping column’s whereabouts. But the tank is spotted by a Japanese scout, and an ambush is set, and the tank gets set on fire. As they evacuate, Chang is captured alive and his crew is killed. The Japanese torture Chang, with the girl prisoner watching, until the Dragon and his squad arrive, then many of them are killed by McGraw’s Thompson gun, and the rest are killed hand-to-hand by the Chinese freedom fighters. The girl has some medical skills and she patches up Chang, then decides to stick around and join up with the guerrillas.
