History

Earth-2 was one of fifty-one divergent realities that branched from the core New Earth reality during the recreation of the Multiverse shortly following the events of Infinite Crisis.

The primary heroic group of Earth-2 is Justice Society Infinity, an amalgamation of the older Justice Society of America and Infinity Inc.

The New Fifty-Two

In the new multiverse, the world had a few superheroes, who had a long and proud history. However, all of this ended when the Parademons of Apokolips rained down across the world. Led by the villainous Steppenwolf, they rampaged across the world, fighting the united armies of Earth in a conflict that slew countries, and became known as the Apokolips War. In the end, the day was saved by Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman, at the cost of their lives. Robin and Supergirl went missing also during the conflict.

Now, five years later, a dark power is rising and other heroes must step forward to stop it.

Notes

• Earth-2 is a wholly different alternate reality from that of Earth-Two. All of DC's Golden Age super-heroes were retroactively allocated to Earth-Two prior to the event known as Crisis on Infinite Earths. At the close of the Crisis, the surviving parallel Earths were merged together and a new shared continuity was established colloquially known as New Earth.
• As of September 2011, Earth-2 is very different. For one thing, it has sustained heavy losses during the Apokolips War.
  • Italy is a series of craters surrounded by forest
  • Metropolis was destroyed
  • Wonder Woman's gods were slain
• The Greek Gods of Earth-2 go by their Roman names (Jupiter, Mercury, Mars etc)
