History
Earth-Spirit is an unofficial appellation used when referring to characters and settings based on the crime ridden world created by Will Eisner. The name is reflective of the entire reality and not just the planet Earth.
Several of these characters have since appeared in other comics by DC, such as Spirit (Volume 1) published from 2007-2009. They too should be classified under Earth-Spirit. However, their First Wave counterparts are not part of the Earth-Spirit reality.

Notes
- Some of the characters were "updated" and appeared in DC's First Wave series. They are not part of the Earth-Spirit reality.
- The The Spirit's Central City should not be confused with the Missouri town of the same name. That city is the former home of the second Flash, Barry Allen.
