Ebenezer Batson is the uncle of Billy Batson, father of Sinclair Batson and antagonist to Captain Marvel. Rich and miserly, he threw the young boy out of his house to steal his trust fund. Having fallen on hard times later in life, he would return to try and steal Billy's broadcasting money. Ebenezer Batson was created by Bill Parker and C.C. Beck, first appearing in Whiz Comics #2. (1940)
