Black Betty was the assistant of the sorcerer Jeremiah Cain, but something happened to Cain and Betty ended up a StormWatch operative. She had been Cain's apprentice since she was 16, and at the time of her joining StormWatch she was looking after his body while his soul/consciousness was trapped somewhere off world and teaching metaphysics at Hudson University.Powers and Abilities
