Enkafos was a being gifted with the ability to inspire great fear. He was selected as a member of the Sinestro Corps and was based on the sentient planet known as Ranx. Enkafos took great delight in overseeing the torture of slaves in the territories dominated by the Sinestro Corps. Enkafos worked closely with the psychokinetic Children of the White Lobe and the Sinestro Corps' militant training instructor Arkillo. During the Sinestro Corps War, at the Battle of Ranx, Enkafos slew rookie Green Lantern Chthos-Chthas Chthatis. It was at this time that the Guardians of the Universe rewrote the Book of Oa enabling the members of the Green Lantern Corps to use lethal force against their opponents. Neophyte Corpsmen Sodam Yat avenged Chthos' death by forging an energy scimitar with his ring, which he used to cut Enkafos in twain, killing him.
During the Blackest Night, Enkafos was resurrected by a black power ring along with many other Fallen Sinestros and became a Black Lantern. He was one of the Black Lanterns, who attacked both the Star Sapphire Corps and the Sinestro Corps, while they were fighting each other at the Battle of Zamaron.
- Intimidation: Enkafos possessed the ability to inspire great fear - a quality highly looked after for recruitment in the Sinestro Corps.
