History

Phase, Enya Wazzo, is a Bgztlian officer of L.E.G.I.O.N. with the natural ability to phase through solid matter.

She was born in the 30th Century, and was the sister of Tinya Wazzo, Phantom Girl of the Legion of Super-Heroes. The temporal machinations of Glorith sent her back in time in an explosion that killed her sister.^[1] She arrived in the 20th Century an amnesiac, where she found a new identity as an officer of L.E.G.I.O.N..^[2]

During Zero Hour the original Legion of Super-Heroes, along with the entire future Enya came from was destroyed from existence and replaced by a new one. Rather than being Tinya's sister, Tinya was part Carggite (a race with the natural ability to divide into three bodies), and Phase was revealed to be one of her other selves who had been separated at birth after her first triplication. A time-displacer had sent her back to the 20th Century to help her avoid danger.^[3] While Tinya was stranded in the past at one point, the two of them met, and merged into a single being with all of the combined memories of both.^[4]
