Eshu is one of the Orishas.
History
Eshu was one of the first of the Orishas created according to Yoruban mythos and born alongside his counterpart brother Orunmilla as the embodiment of the land of Ife's desire for impulsiveness and chance. Eshu first appeared to help Firestorm when he was attacked by his dark counterpart in Africa.[1] Eshu decided to join with his shadow self on a whim and later appeared to aid his fellow Gods in defeating their dark counterparts that had attacked Ife.[2]
Powers and Abilities
Powers
- Immortality: As a god, Eshu is virtually immortal. He cannot be destroyed through conventional means, and he will never age beyond a certain point in his life.
- Metamorphosis: Eshu can easily change shape to suit his whims.
Weaknesses
- Mental Disorder: Being a God of Chaos, he's completely a slave to his whims and doesn't even know what he'll do next until he whims it, rendering him dangerously unpredictable.
