• The Atom arrived in the Middle East via the Time Pool where, dazed from the experience, he decided to take a nap in a nearby lamp. By a twist of fate, the Atom ended up starting the myth of Aladdin's lamp, when a young boy named Hassan had his heirloom lamp stolen by Abdul the Thief. As "Al Atom," the Atom helped the boy recover the lamp and also helped the boy uncover a long-lost treasure before leaving. As a token of gratitude, the young boy gave Atom a coin, which he brought back with him to his own time.
