Synopsis for "The Out of Towner"

Superman catches someone he thinks has fallen off a tall building as a suicide jumper, but discovers that it's actually Nightwing, none too pleased to be snatched from the air. Nightwing explains for being in Metropolis is that he is on the trail of Intergang , who are infiltrating his town of Bludhaven along with his nemesis Dudley Soames, who killed Bendel-White, Intergang's chief representative in Bludhaven. However, Superman soon discovers that Bendel-White is alive and well, asking his bosses to supply a whole host of powerful weapons to Soames, his new associate.

Elsewhere, Lois Lane is asking J. Darret (the Daily Planet's science editor) about the robots she had previously seen being unloaded from a ship. Darret says that what she is describing cannot be in reality. Lois leaves, frustrated. She then asks around in the Ace of Clubs regarding the ship, the Kandihar Queen, but gets no leads. Bibbo finally pipes in with something seemingly inconsequential: a barge passed through without their contingent stopping in to the Ace of Clubs.

Intergang sends out Ferrous, a team of enforcers, to get rid of Bendel-White (who has become very unpopular to the organization). Fortunately for Bendel-White, Superman and Nightwing were watching his offices and come to the rescue. The duo managed to defeat Ferrous and save Bendel-White into the bargain. They also warn Intergang not to interfere in Bludhaven any further, or they'll have both Nightwing AND Superman to deal with.
