Synopsis for "Hard Truth"

Superman wanders through the wilderness of Alaska, alone, shirtless and injured. His suit is gone and on his hands are the torn remains of his cape. He finally enters a small town, where he buys food and clothes. He spots a newspaper detailing his identity has been revealed to the world. He buys a motorcycle from a local, but trouble arises when the local, having figured out he sold his bike to Superman, demands more money. Although he is surrounded by local gangsters and his powers are dimished, Superman quickly incapacitates them with a single punch.

With his new bike, Superman embarks on a road trip across the U.S. until he finally makes it to Metropolis. There, the police is ordered to arrest him on sight. The officer-in-charge, Sgt. Binghamton, is openly hostile towards Superman and wants to arrest him but the entity he works for, called Dawn Command, orders him to allow Superman safe passage. The situation is not good for Superman. Ever since his identity was revealed, the banks have cancelled his credit cards and several lawyers are suing him for property damage. Even Perry fired him from the Daily Planet. But there are good news for Superman. His friend Jimmy is still as loyal as ever, and the people of the neighborhood they live at express support towards the Man of Steel, renaming the neighborhood "Kentville".

Kentville is having a party since Superman arrived. There, a firefighter called Lee Lambert becomes friends with Clark, but she warns him people are scared Superman's enemies might attack them since his identity got out. Unfortunately, Lee receives word that a situation has surfaced at Pier 34, so Superman heads there to help put. Once in Pier 34, he finds a shadow creature a attack a group of firefighters, a creature similar to the ones that attacked him in the Arctic. Superman fights the creature amidst flames without hesitation.

Meanwhile, St. Binghamton receives orders from Dawn Command to mobilize his troops. In all of sudden, the police moves in towards Kentville with hostile intent.
