Synopsis for "Ashes & Blood"

Firefly and Killer Moth escape the burning GCPD Headquarters in a helicopter, but Batgirl tethers herself to their escape vehicle and gets pulled along after them. Batman and Robin observe from the Bat-Copter as she launches another line, which stalls the helicopter in midair. Batgirl falls stories until she lands in the pool of the Gotham Athletic Club while Killer Moth and Firefly are apprehended by Batman and Robin.

Batman is impressed enough to invite her back to the Batcave, where she battles simulations of his most dangerous enemies. Batman reveals his identity to her and takes her to the grave of Thomas and Martha Wayne, where she swears an oath to uphold Batman's mission, and in return, she asks for a favor.

Batman introduces Batgirl to Captain Gordon on the roof of the rebuilt GCPD Headquarters. To Gordon's surprise, their meeting is interrupted by the arrival of his daughter Barbara. "Batgirl" is really Robin, and with her father's suspicions diverted, Barbara has the time to help Jason Bard set up his office as a private investigator. She expresses an interest in running for office in the future, but she is happy in the present as Batgirl.
