Synopsis for "The Lesson: Unchained Melody"

The Grey Ghost summons Batgirl to an abandoned convent outside of Gotham, where Harmony is trying to take a DNA sample from the corpse of a nun who had the power to heal the sick. Harmony brings down the convent walls because the reapers’ client has forbidden them from killing Batgirl and if she’s crushed by rubble Harmony can claim it was an accident. Batgirl blows up several columns holding up the ceiling and buries Harmony instead. Batgirl goes to help the Grey Ghost, who’s been injured, and sends him away. He promises to show her how much she really needs him. Harmony is arrested, but Batgirl loses track of the DNA sample in the fight.

Wendy Harris has been hallucinating her brother, and Dr. Thompkins tells her that the severity of her injury is partly due to her emotional state. She recommends Wendy go to Nanda Parbat to find peace. She asks Barbara Gordon for financial aid from Batman Incorporated so she can make the journey alone. Batgirl is sad to lose Proxy, but she’s determined to take down the Order of the Scythe, even on her own.

The Grey Ghost gives the DNA sample to the last three reapers. He promises to keep Batgirl out of their business if they promise to stay out of her way.
