Synopsis for "Old Enemies - Part One"

Batgirl watches over a rally organized by Luciana Alejo, a politician who is running for Congress and focusing her campaign on the GCPD's corruption. During the rally, a group of supporters of Alejo's rival Branson Moore attempt to sabotage the act by disguising themselves as Alejo's supporters and acting up. However, the group decide to ignore their leader's instructions. They start attacking cops and one of them triggers a bomb. Batgirl tries to calm the riot down and chases after the radicals. Batgirl tackles and unmasks their leader, who turns out to be ex-commissioner Jason Bard, who framed her father for murder and whom she fought once. Bard exploits her shock to run away.

The next day, Barbara reflects that Bard must be working for Moore, and she decides to volunteer for Alejo in order to protect her from Bard, in spite of her father's opposition. As she drives her way to Alejo campaign's HQ, Barbara receives a call from her friend Frankie who warns that Barbara's company's stock is rising oddly fast.

Barbara meets up with Alejo and discovers Jason Bard is working for her. Barbara tries to warn the former about Bard, but Bard replies he is trying to protect Alejo and claims her opponent was behind the riot at her rally. Jason also claims that Moore has hired an assassin to look after Alejo.
