Synopsis for "Larceny, My Sweet"

Batman is stymied by a bank robber who escapes from his crimes so smoothly the news media has nicknamed him the "Invisible Man". While investigating the same case, Summer Gleeson stumbles across a gang of muggers, and is saved by a mysterious, nameless blonde, whom she quickly falls in love with.

During their next encounter, Batman purposely lets the Invisible Man get away, while slipping an electronic tracer on him. Shortly after, the blonde phones Summer and arranges a date at a local restaurant, only to be confronted by Batman. Using the tracer, Batman has deduced that the blonde and the Invisible Man are both disguises for the same individual: Clayface.

Clayface, who has genuinely fallen in love with Summer, attacks Batman in a rage. As he prepares the killing blow, however, he is spotted by Summer, who shrieks in horror at his true, monstrous form. Batman seizes the distraction, and knocks Clayface unconscious with a sonic frequency from his utility belt.

To spare her feelings, Batman tells Summer that her date had never come to the restaurant at all.
