Synopsis for "Chapter Eight"

In 1952, Nyssa sees Ra’s al Ghul in London and attempts to kill him. He tells her he isn’t responsible for the crimes of the Nazis, and she is only upset with him because he was proven right about humanity and she was proven wrong. He asks her to come back to his side, but she refuses and leaves rather than kill him and become him. Ra’s decides to give it time.

Batman wants to know where Nyssa is, but Misha taunts him because he cannot get halfway across the world quick enough to save Ra’s. Batman agrees, but he is in fact Superman and the real Batman is in his jet already on his way.

Nyssa and Talia arrive in the camp, where Ra’s wonders whether Nyssa can complete the task she failed to do in London. She instead sets Talia to do it, and when Batman arrives, Ra’s has him restrained by multiple Ubus. Ra’s stabs Talia and orders the Ubus to release Batman, sans his belt, which will force him to focus his attention solely on Talia while Ra’s speaks to Nyssa. He tells her she is his heir and he loves her, and Nyssa says, “I love you too,” as she stabs him through the heart.
