Synopsis for "Death's Highway"

Batman dreams of being attacked by a horde of zombies, egged on by his parents. He wakes up in the Batcave, reviewing his previous case. Attributing the dream to Radmuller's drugs, he runs a blood test, but finds nothing out of the normal. Alfred arrives with a snack and asks why Batman's still interested with the killer dead. He replies that with the ambulance the body was in crashed, nothing adds up. He doesn't notice that Alfred is turning into a zombie. The Batcomputer blanks out, and Batman thinks he sees the Batcave filling with zombies, but there's nothing there. Gordon calls, and Batman goes to meet Detective Keith while Alfred runs a security scan. Keith says that the bodies of the last victims have gone missing from the morgue. Still failing to make the facts add up, Batman arrives and Keith appears to be breaking down after her partner's murders. The body of the last victim, a zombie, confronts Batman, asking why he'd done it. they fight, the zombie pulls a gun and Keith is shot dead. Leaving the body to chase the zombie, Batman doesn't see as Deadman pushes his way out of her. The zombie says that Batman has unleashed hell, but tells him nothing clear. Getting disorientated, Batman focuses on continuing the investigation. He checks in with Alfred, who is now a zombie completely. Watching the Batmobile passing, Deadman follows it. A zombie Detective Greer crashes his police car into the Batmobile, and tells Batman that word's out Batman created the current circumstances. Deadman arrives and explains that they're in an area between life and death created by a curse. Batman tells of Radmuller's murders and suicide, and Deadman guesses he was the spell-caster. He says that it's up to Batman to decide the fate of the trapped souls and that there's some things he has to work out for himself. At Radmuller's apartment, Batman sees himself, frozen in the moment he was about to enter and trigger Radmuller's death. Deadman tells him to open his mind as it's the only way to end the curse. Batman asks Deadman to turn solid and knocks him across the room. He decides his mind is open, but pauses; Deadman had called him "Bruce". Deadman says he always knew, but wouldn't tell anyone. Leaving, they are attacked by a hoard of zombies. Deadman is swamped, but Batman holds his own, until Radmuller appears with several hundred more.
