- Starting this issue, the page count drops from 48 to 36.
- In his solo story, Chop Chop flies a North American F-86 Sabrejet. This issue's three stories are the seventh, eighth, and ninth appearances of these warplanes, and so far no character and no caption has mentioned this upgrade. They simply are called "planes."
- The Woman Known as Number One is apparently killed when her castle collapses, but she's outside at the time. Neither the reader nor Blackhawk sees her die.
- The Hysler Building, in New York City, is robbed by blimp-borne bandits. This building had a namesake counterpart on Earth-S, which was also attacked by blimp-borne bandits.[1]
- The location of Blackhawk Island seems to be no longer a secret. The villain sends a large-scale bombing mission to attack the base, and Blackhawk doesn't express any surprise about them knowing where it is.
