Synopsis for "The Weapon of Doom"
Doctor Cuda has developed an incredibly powerful solvent, capable of dissolving a tank and its crew into smoking wreckage, so the Soviet government sends Dr. Cuda to participate in the stalled peace talks taking place in Korea, between N.K. General Kwan Yi and U.S. General Hodds. The Blackhawks also attend this conference, and when Kwan Yi orders his troops into the room to take it over, they duke it out with them and win. But but during the melee, Cuda and Kwan Yi have slipped away, and on returning to the airfield, the team is witness to the destruction of a U.S. tank, and crew, caused by a single dropped bomb of Cuda's monstrous solvent.

- Chop Chop has a sister named Chin Lee, who has at least three children, and who apparently lives in the U.S.
- Death Rides the Guided Missile
- Reed Crandall's version of Chop Chop is distinctly more human looking than Dick Dillin's which in turn is much more human looking than Paul Gustavson's.
- Olaf gets head-konked unconscious with a pistol butt. This is his eighth concussion.[1]
- The Blackhawk Jets have now got "new afterburners."
- Future Fuehrer
- Another online resource states that this story establishes Hendrickson as being German. In the Quality Universe, Hendrickson is German, but this story doesn't say so; it only shows Hendrickson impersonating a storm trooper. Two later stories, in Blackhawk #71 and Blackhawk #75, present him as German, while at least one earlier story, in Blackhawk #50, said he was Dutch. This is why it is widely believed that Blackhawk is confusing.
- Weapon of Doom
- Blackhawk's plane has a built-in portable laboratory. Each Blackhawk jets is packed with a suit of anti-radioactive-wave plastic armor.
- Dr. Cuda's super solvent is radioactive. It is ineffective against wood, or glass, or plastic.
- Blackhawk's plane is hit, the engines are disabled, he's forced to land. This looks like it's his nineteenth time to be shot down,[2] but he's faking!
- The buttons on Blackhawk uniforms, and Chop Chop's clothes, are removable, throwable, and highly explosive.
- Dr. Cuda's solvent factory is destroyed with bombs, with a considerable volume of the radioactive solvent spilled into the open ocean in the process.
- General Kwan Yi and Doctor Cuda are at the solvent factory when it is destroyed by the Blackhawk bombing raid, but are not seen to be killed.
