Henry King, Jr. is the son of the supervillain Brainwave and the superhero Merry the Gimmick Girl. However, unlike his father, Henry became a superhero and member of the Infinity Inc. and the Justice Society as the second Brainwave, until he went mad due to his powers and joined the Legion of Doom and the Black Reign. His Prime Earth counterpart also became a member of the Task Force XI.
Henry King, Jr. was created by Roy Thomas, first appearing in All-Star Squadron #24 (1983).
