Synopsis for "Last Days, Part Three of Three: Through a Glass, Darkly"

The mixture of new and old Challengers of the Unknown are briefly saved from gunmen by Saxon before they are captured and brought to Doctor Carcosa. He reveals that he is behind the plane disappearances that have recently happened.[1] Professor Haley takes control of Carcosa's machinery and it transports Clay, Kenn, and Brenda into Carcosa's chamber.

Saxon arrives and kills most of Carcosa's henchmen and shoots Rocky in the gut. He is dragged into a widening and unstable field of light that threatens to engulf them all, just like the plane disappearances that Carcosa has engineered. The mad scientist dives into it as well and the original Challengers (minus Rocky) follow after to make sure the field doesn't turn into a nuclear explosion. Rocky stays behind to ensure that someone can shut down the machinery generating this white light but the new Challengers force him to evacuate and Carcosa's installation explodes as they leave. The original Challengers are lost in the Multiverse again and the new Challengers are convinced that the world needs them.
