Synopsis for "The Love Song of Stephanie Brown, Part 2"

Despite being transported - along with her friends Blackbat and Red Robin - to a barren desert to face some unknown adversary from a different city, Batgirl appeared to have been stood up. Worriedly, they wondered if they were only being made to think her opponent hadn't shown up, as Catman watched from afar, unseen.

Now, though, that opponent has long since appeared in the form of General Grodd, whom Catman admits to Batgirl was responsible for killing all of his friends. Back in their Gotham, the two were trapped under the dome for a year, and without his powers, Grodd was put in the zoo. When Grodd got his powers back, he came for Catman, who was entirely prepared to the gorilla down with him in an explosion, when he and the gorilla were transported into this desert.

In the meantime, Blackbat has been fighting Grodd, and she looks likely to lose. Worriedly, Stephanie rushes forward and begs the gorilla to take her instead. Unfortunately, Grodd doesn't need to choose, he need only kill them all.

The previous day, Tim took Stephanie aside, begging to talk with her, which comes as a bit of an annoyance to her, since he had shut her down every time she had asked to talk in the past year. He had never even bothered to properly break up with her, he'd simply shut up. Tim explained that part of why they couldn't be together was that she gave up being a vigilante. For him, that was part of who they were as a couple. Incredulously, she wondered if he expected her to be interested in getting back together, now that she was in the cowl again. Tim admitted that there might be a chance for them, under those circumstances, and in response, she punched him in the face.

Steph rips the hair from the gorilla's head, wrenching free of his grasp, hoping to see that Tim is alright. Unfortunately, he is under the goilla's control, and she is forced to knock him out. Worriedly, she reminds Catman that they are losing, and suggests that he simply let her beat him, to put a stop to the battle. A winner is all that is required. All of Catman's friends are dead - so there's no use saving a city when nobody is left in it. He removes his mask and challenges Batgirl to hit him - and she doesn't hold back, knocking him down. As Catman is being taken away, he taunts Grodd to the point that the gorilla attacks him, and they are both transported back to their home city.

Soon, Steph and her friends are transported back to their own Gotham as well. Together, she and Tim ensure that Cass gets the medical attention she needs. When she wakes up, she wonders how the fight went, and Steph and Tim trade narration duties as they explain how they cheated the system. Grumpily, Cass suggests they get a room, and uncomfortably, they leave her alone, only to kiss in the hallway.

Later that night, Tim and Steph try to get romantic, but their bruises from the fight get in the way, and they resign themselves to simply cuddling, motionless - which is nice enough.

Synopsis for "Divergence: Prez"

The year is 2036, and Beth Ross is now the President-Elect of the United States of America - at the unprecedented age of 19 years old. As she flies in Air Force One over the South Pacific, her plane is attacked by insurgents on the island of Fiji. All survive, but their cellphone signals are jammed, thanks to American sentries. The sat-phone will at least be able to reach the UN Conference they were headed to. Unfortunately, when the expected sentries arrive, they attack the Secret Servicemen protecting Beth, and she is rushed into the nearby forest for cover.

Meanwhile, at the Securi-Tech Headquarters in West Virginia, the men controlling the sentries are unaware of who they are attacking, thanks to a mod to their programming that makes the insurgents (and everyone else on the island) appear as turkeys, in honour of Thanksgiving.

Losing his cool, the Secretary of State argues that they should find a town instead of going deeper into the jungle, but winds up getting blown up. Worriedly, Beth decides to use the sat-phone to call for help, urging the ambassador to hide. Unfortunately, the ambassador is killed as well, and Beth sheds some tears for her before calling the Security Conference. They confirm that they can accommodate her request if she gets to an open area. Steeling herself she runs out with the phone in her hand, standing in front of the sentries.

Using her satellite signal, the delegates from the hacker group Anonymous - now recognized as a nation unto itself by the UN - hack into the Sentries, and cause them to blow each other up.

Eventually, Beth makes it to the UN Security Conference, taking her harrowing experience as research for the job to come.
