The Sword is an agent of the super-villain Damocles, from an alternate universe. He is this universe's version of the hero Union, and wields a Devotion Stone similar to Union's Justice Stone. Traveling the multiverse with his Bounty Hunters, they track down their enemy Sigma during Fire from Heaven. Unlike his counterpart, the Sword's powers are limited to creating energy constructs. Sword of Damocles was created by Warren Ellis and Randy Green, first appearing in Sword of Damocles #1. (1996)
