Maybe he is unkillable. I didn't actually expect it to kill him. But I'll be damned if I try something complicated when a bullet to the skull will do the trick.

Synopsis for "Deathless."
In the eastern European country of Sarvenia, a mad dictator called Koschei films his attack on a village, forcing a young boy to kill a man before he kills the boy. Angrily, a villager smashes a molotov cocktail in Koschei's face, but the hulking man wraps his arms around the rebel, burning him alive. After all, Koschei is deathless.
In New York City, Slade Wilson is shown the video of those events by some prospective clients. They explain that Koschei single-handedly conquered Sarvenia by virtue of his apparent immortality - a thing in which Slade does not believe. This is fortunate, because they want Slade to kill Koschei so that they can gain access to the large deposits of lithium that are buried in Sarvenia's soil. Despite funding the rebels, they have not succeeded in bringing about a successful revolution, and now they are turning to Deathstroke. Casually, Slade agrees to the contract, promising that he will either kill the unkillable man or die trying.
In Sarvenia, Slade is surprised to find someone sneaking up on him, but stops in time to avoid killing his contact, a woman called Elena. She is not especially happy to have him there, given that he is just one of many failed assassins to have come for Koschei. Not to mention that if Koschei is removed from power, it will only leave the door open for more of his kind. Even so, the lesser of two evils is still less evil.
That night, Deathstroke scopes out Koschei's palace, and waits for his quarry to step into the range of his sniper rifle. Without much delay, he blows a hole in the dictator's head, but he is disturbed to find that Koschei can regenerate. While he didn't expect the bullet to work, he would rather not have worked on a more elaborate plan when that bullet might have done the job.
Found out, Deathstroke allows himself to be captured and taken to Koschei's palace. As soon as he is brought before the dictator, he attacks the guards and engages Koschei in battle. Though he knows he can't do much to kill him now, the chance to see and study his fighting style is worth the beating. Koschei is very strong, but untrained. He is also a talker, and as he brags about his deathlessness, Deathstroke is afforded the opportunity to shove a live grenade down his pants, and kick him away. The resulting blast sends Deathstroke hurtling through the window - with the knowledge he needs to kill the unkillable man.
