Synopsis for "The Balance"
As the siege Little Spring begins, a group of villagers led by Osric attempt to surrender to the Horde. They are quickly cut down in a volley of arrows. Shining Knight and Exoristos determine Vandal Savage must have issued the kill order and Exoristos jumps from atop the village's defenses and quickly slays a large dinosaur leading the charge against the village. Exoristos calls Savage to the battlefield, but he sends dragons instead.
Horsewoman jumps the villages defenses as well and calls out to the wild horses in the hills to join her on the route to Alba Sarum. Xanadu approaches Old Osric with the intention of sacrificing him to regain her power, but ultimately decides against it. Exoristos fights waves of attacking Horde dinosaurs. Just when it seems she will fall in battle, Etrigan saves Exoristos.
Horsewoman leads a charge of wild horses against the Questing Queen's Heraldic dragons. Meanwhile, Vandal Savage leads the Queen's siege while Mordru and the Queen discuss Savage's ultimate fate. Back in the village Xanadu asks Etrigan to deliver a message to Jason Blood in Hell. Horsewoman manages to get past the mechanical dragons, but her horse, Breaker, is killed in the charge. Shining Knight receives word through her horse of the success just as the Horde crashes through the village's defensive wall.
