During the summer several crimes occured in Central City which were committed by duplicates who seemed to be acting as mirror images. It did not take long for Wally to find out the local villain known as the Mirror Master must be behind the incidents. But Wally made the mistake to go after Mirror Master alone and directly walked into a trap. Barry Allen came to his sidekick's rescue, but Kid Flash is also instrumental in the eventual defeat of the Mirror Master.

But directly after this success, Wally learned that his speed powers were slowly having a deteriorating and fatal effect on his body!
