Gigantus of Motus was a member of L.E.G.I.O.N..
History
Gigantus of the planet Motus is one of the planets largest and greated warriors. The L.E.G.I.O.N. met the mighty Gigantus when the visited the planet Rigon for a marketing meeting. Vril Dox II viewed some footage of Gigantus, a towering powerhouse on his people who was so revered there were songs written in his honor. To their astonishment, they soon discovered that the natives of Motus were relatively small people, making Gigantus big to them but still small compared to the rest of the galaxy.
Gigantus was sensitive about his comparative height and bristled when Stealth laughed at him. Telepath tried to sympathize with Gigantus, but the brute took offense and he hits him. Gigantus' leader, Kaa Muuso of Motus was embarrassed by champions behavior.
Gigantus was soon tested as the L.E.G.I.O.N. and numerous other strange representatives moved to prevent the assassination of Rigon's leader, Ahrr Tyunng. Despite his heroism, Gigantus was offered to Vril Dox by Kaa Muuso as consolation for his rudeness. Vril Dox accepted and Gigantus accompanied them back to the planet Cairn.
When they arrived home the L.E.G.I.O.N. had been taken over by Lyrl Dox's mind control and Gigantus was among those who fell under his control. He was freed along with the others when Vril Dox returned to defeat his son.
Powers and Abilities
Powers
- Motusian Physiology: Gigantus is one of the largest and most poweful Motusians to ever live.
- Superhuman Strength: Gigantus is many times stronger than a normal Motusian, although his strength level is unknown.
- Superhuman Durability: Gigantus is far more durable than a normal Motusian, and can probably withstand impacts and pressures that could severely injure or kill a Motusian with no discomfort.
Weaknesses
- Size: On his home planet Gigantus is considered a giant, but compared to the other species in the universe he is considered short. This causes him to anger easily and he attacks anyone who mocks him. Though skilled in combat his size is always a factor now in any battle.
