Synopsis for "Half A Life, Part Five"
Two-Face shows the still orange-suited Renée Montoya around his hidout where he's prepared steaks and tiramisu from where Daria works. He wants to take care of her as he believes they now have a relationship.[1] He flips out when he sees a guard check out Montoya. Montoya asks him why he's ruined her life and he replies it was the flip of the coin.
At headquarters, Crispus Allen holds a conversation in a dim corridor with Detective Crowe, who stands with his face hidden in the shadows. Allen explains that Matt Conway was interrogated for six hours and all he would say was that Two-Face coerced Conway into helping him by threatening Conway's son. Allen goes on about how Conway met Two-Face once at a hotel, but he was blind-folded. Allen says the GCPD is going to start canvassing the hotels. When Crowe doesn't turn on the light and disappears, Allen walks towards the window to see Batman flying away.
Two-Face admits to hiring Lipari to hire a P.I. to look into Montoya. He had a hunch he'd find something in her past. He tells Montoya he murdered both Lipari and Selker. He tells her he loves her and wants to repay her for the kindness she showed him by visiting him when he was in Arkham. She says he's crazy and doesn't want anything to do with him. He flips a coin and decides to kill Daria. He and Montoya then fight, only to be split apart by Batman who has already dealt with Two-Face's accomplices.
Batman prevents Montoya from getting the gun which she may have used to kill Two-Face. Montoya snarls, insinuating that if Two-Face lives he will just get out soon to chase her again. Batman replies that he didn't want murder as an option for anyone.
Later, back at MCU HQ, Esperanza and Captain Maggie Sawyer call Montoya into the office. They say with the confession from Conway and the evidence of Two-Face at the scene, the D.A. is dropping all charges.
Montoya visits her parents while Daria waits outside. She spends some time arguing with her religious parents over her preference for women. In the end they disown their daughter who cries in Daria's arms.
